Graduate School of Health Sciences
In November 2005, the Okayama University Graduate School of Health Sciences established a working group to promote international exchange. The program initiated international exchange activities at the organizational level with the aim of fostering much-needed scholars having a global perspective.
Training in Thailand

The program has a fixed number of 8 undergraduate students and 1 – 2 guidance instructors. Places visited included Chulalongkom University,FAO,JICA,Mahasarakham Nursing College, on-site medical facilities in villages and other institutions.
- 1st Trip: March 6 – 11, 2006

Reception of trainers and educational researchers from abroad
- Field trips on campus and to hospitals, participation in classes, exchanges with students, and special lectures.
- Nov. 2005—Three speakers from the Mahasarakham Nursing College, including the university president (3 days)
- Apr. 2007—Ten Thai high school students from the OISCA Shikoku Training Center, Kagawa Prefecture
- Oct. 2007—Fifteen Asian trainers from the OISCA Shikoku Training Center, Kagawa Prefecture
- Nov. 2007—Three instructors from the Mahasarakham Nursing College (5 days)
- Apr. 2008—Assistant undergraduate director of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), United States
- Oct. 2008—Instructor from the Mahasarakham Nursing School (7 days)
