Graduate School of Education

In 2007, the Graduate School of Education established a Center for International Education and Pedagogical Research. The center’s main activities entail 1) comparing education in various foreign countries, 2) cooperating in international education, and 3) providing Japanese language instruction to foreign children.

As part of the center’s efforts to compare educational practices abroad, affiliated elementary school teachers and high school teachers in Indonesia, Ghana, and Cambodia, together with on-site instructors, graduate students, and undergraduates, implement class work and perform comparative research on the state of children in these countries, while performing exchanges between the schools.
