Okayama Dental Study Abroad Program for Undergraduate Students (ODAPUS)
The Okayama Dental Study-Abroad Program for Undergraduate Students (ODAPUS) broadens perspectives for people who can broadly understand the field of dentistry. Study in the program aims to help students incorporate the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to be able to understand other cultures. This short-term study abroad program enables third-year students to audit lectures in a university abroad for around three months. Under a system unique to Okayama University, elective coursework is recognized in fulfillment of the curriculum provided that the student acquires a certificate of attendance from the instructor in charge at the university abroad. This program has been in effect since 2001.
