Admission Procedures
1. Full time Graduate Course
Okayama University offers Master's Courses and Doctoral Courses.

Qualification Requirements: | Master's Course and Doctor's course of Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology(Earth and Planetary Materials Science): University graduates or expected graduates Those who have completed 16 years of education in a foreign country or are expected to complete it Those who have completed the 15 years of education in a foreign country and are approved to have the same ability of obtaining necessary credits by the graduate school of Okayama University Those who are deemed to have the same ability or greater as a university graduate by the graduate school of Okayama University Doctoral Course:※Except for Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences Those who have a Master's degree or expect to have it Those who obtained a degree corresponding to a Master's degree or expect to obtain one in a foreign country Those who are deemed by the particular graduate school of Okayama University to have the same or superior ability as a Master's degree Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences Those who have completed the medical or dental course or 6 year education of pharmaceutical science or veterinary medicines at university or expect to do so Those in a foreign country who have completed 18 years' medical, dental, pharmacy, or veterinary study at university or expect to do so Those who are deemed by the Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences to have the same or superior ability to complete a medical, dental course or 6 years education of pharmaceutical science course at Okayama University as a graduate student of Okayama University |

2.Research Course
A research student is a non-degree seeking student who is pursuing specialist subjects.
Date of Entrance: | April and October |

Duration of Study: | 6 months or one year. The period may be extended for special reasons but may not exceed 2 years. |
Qualification Requirements: | Foreign students who meet the requirements to apply for a full time degree-seeking course studies at the graduate school of Okayama University |

(1) General Selection
Applicants must meet one of the requirements listed below. Applicants must also sit for the “National Center Test for University Admissions” conducted by the National Center for University Entrance Examinations.
Qualification Requirements: | 1. High school graduates or expected graduates; 2. applicants who have completed 12 years of school education or are expected to complete it; or, 3. applicants who are deemed to have the same ability or greater as a high school graduate by the Minitry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). |

(2) Special entrance examination for privately financed international students
Eligibility: Applicants are non-Japanese citizens
Applicants have taken the "Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students" given by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)
Qualification Requirements: | 1. have completed 12 years of school education or are expected to complete it in a foreign country, or those who are deemed to have equivalent or greater academic qualifications by MEXT 2. have the proper status of residence under Immigration Law that does not interfere with entering university studies |
