Small and Medium Enterprises

Since the 2009 school year, the Department of Economics has been offering practical lectures on "Modern Theory on Small and Medium Enterprises — The Recovery of the Japanese Economy and the Role of Small and Medium Enterprises."

These lectures are given by association members who are experts on small and medium enterprise theory working in universities around Japan speaking about various issues surrounding such enterprises. They are based on real experiences, some of which ended in failure, of managers who have witnessed a great deal over many years working at modest-sized sites of economic activity. As such, these lectures include a wealth of real-world examples, making them extremely popular with students.
