Research Center of New Functional Materials for Energy Production, Storage and Transport (RCNFM), Okayama University, aims at developing new functional materials which would contribute to future sustainable society. One of the main purpose in RCNFM is to develop new superconductors exhibiting high superconducting transition temperature. The development of new electronic devices such as transistors and solar cells is also an important research subject. The material design for new electronic devices and the theoretical approach to develop new materials are also performed in RCNFM. The RCNFM now consists of 14 principal investigators (professors) in physics , chemistry and biological science.
