Change in the Rental Guarantor System at Okayama University
 We would like to announce that the current rental guarantor system, under which Okayama University has been undertaking the responsibility as the guarantor of lease contracts, will be terminated as of February 28, 2018.
After March 2018, if it is necessary to have a guarantor for a new lease contract, students are required to use a private guarantor company specified by the real estate agencies, etc.
The existing guarantor contracts under the current guarantor system at Okayama University will be continued throughout the remaining lease contract period or until graduation.

 In Japan, a guarantor (連帯保証人) is usually required when renting private housing. If it is necessary to have a guarantor for a lease contract, students are required to use a private guarantor company specified by the real estate agencies, etc.
