Okayama University Rowing Club Takes 2nd Place in the Kansai Student Autumn Championship Alternative Special Competition!

Okayama University took 2nd place in the women’s double scull (boat name: Suiha) at the Kansai Student Autumn Championship Alternative Special Competition, held at the Osaka prefectural rowing center in Takaishi city.

Other participating universities included Kansai University, Shiga University, Kyoto University, Kwansei Gakuin University, Osaka University, Tottori University, Ryukoku University and Osaka Prefecture University. OKAZAKI Aya (2nd year, Faculty of Literature) and HORIE Risa (2nd year, Faculty of Environmental Science and Technology) from Okayama University Rowing Club participated in the women’s double scull (boat name: Suiha) for 2nd years and under, coming in 2nd place.

Ms. Horie said, “We were able to keep up with other teams at the start, which we were not good at, and we were able to row without slowing down even in the middle of the race. We will keep training hard for the next race.”
