Faculty of Education Student NUKUI Ayaka Wins Volunteer Award

Fourth-year Training Course for Nursing Teachers student at the Okayama University Faculty of Education NUKUI Ayaka was recognized for her volunteer activities by the National Institution for Youth Education at an award ceremony held on March 24 at the Faculty of Education’s Main Building. Upon receiving her award from National Institution for Youth Education Director TAKATO Yoshiaki, Ms. Nukui assured him, “I plan to continue my volunteer activities after graduation.”

Also in attendance were NOBUHARA Masaaki, in charge of planning and guidance at National Kibi Youth Outdoor Learning Center, Dean of Education MIMURA Yukari, and Professor MATSUEDA Mutsumi, who acts as Ms. Nukui’s academic supervisor.

The National Institution for Youth oversees twenty-eight learning centers across the country, including the National Kibi Youth Outdoor Learning Center. Its goal is to promote education through environmental and cultural activities, and it relies heavily on the service of volunteers. Students from Okayama University regularly volunteer at National Kibi Youth Outdoor Learning Center, but Ms. Nukui in particular has been recognized for her dedication since she was a first-year student, participating in a total of 42 activity days at the center, including “Cheerful Day” and “Kibikibi School Camp”. Ms. Nukui was commended for balancing her studies and volunteer work and for being an excellent role model to her fellow students.
