The Discovery Program for Global Learners Holds the Virtual Information Session in 2022

September 12, 2022

On September 9, the Discovery Program for Global Learners (aka “GDP") held the Virtual Information Session. A total of 35 high school students and parents from mainly abroad participated in the event.

During the information session, the program faculty gave a general explanation of the program and its admissions process, after which current students elaborated on their experiences as GDP students. Then, Q&A session was held. The meeting was a great success, with many participants coming actively asking questions about the admissions process, curriculum, scholarships, and student life.

GDP was established in October 2017 as a faculty where international students from all over the world, returnees, and graduates from high schools in Japan can come together to study subjects from a wide variety of fields while sharing their diverse cultures and experiences. The program aims to nurture students to be active on the global stage by encouraging them to design a unique program of study that is not restricted by department or faculty.
