A ceremony for the Okayama University Teaching Award was held.

Okayama University held the Okayama University Teaching Award Ceremony on October 28.

The purpose of the Teaching Award is to select outstanding courses that lead the university's educational reforms and courses that provide excellent education from among courses recommended by the university, and to commend the faculty members in charge of those courses as recipients of the Excellent Education Award. The purpose of this system is to improve education by spreading educational practices throughout the university. Previously, only liberal arts education courses were eligible for this award, but starting this year, all courses offered in the previous academic year are eligible. The following four courses were selected from those offered in 2021.

President MAKINO Hirofumi and FUNAHASHI Hiroaki, Executive Director for Academic Affairs / Provost, attended the ceremony, where President Makino presented each faculty member with a certificate of commendation.

The award ceremony was also followed by a social gathering in which the recipients discussed with President Makino and Vice President Funahashi on various topics, such as their innovations and difficulties in teaching.
