On September 22, Okayama University held The Autumn 2022 Okayama University Degree Conferment Ceremony at the 50th Anniversary Hall. Approximately 138 undergraduate and graduate students graduated from the campus filled with memories.
　
Due to COVID-19 prevention measures, attendees were limited to graduates and university officials. In the ceremony, President MAKINO Hirofumi awarded four undergraduate and graduate student valedictorians with their degrees. He also awarded the Okayama University Kokusho Award to one student for their outstanding academic and personal achievements.
　
In his address, President MAKINO conveyed in English to the graduating class, “We hope that you will be proud of what you have learned at Okayama University and what you have accomplished in obtaining your respective degrees. We wish you a lifetime of success, health, and happiness in your future.”
　
On behalf of the graduating students, LIANG YIN of the Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences said, “We greatly appreciate Okayama University's commitment to providing an environment where students from different countries and backgrounds can share their ideas and exchange their experiences. Also, the beautiful campus and excellent academic atmosphere greatly helped our studies.”
　
Dressed in suits and formal wear of their respective countries, the graduates took commemorative photos with their friends, family and younger students after the ceremony, and visited their study rooms one last time.
