Two boats of the rowing club won the Chugoku Student Rowing Championships, and one boat won second place!

Our University's rowing club participated in the 66th Chugoku Student Rowing Championships held on October 9 at the Ashida River Rowing Course (Fukuyama City, Hiroshima). In the men's single sculls, KIYONO Yudai (4th year, School of Science) won the championship and IKEDA Daigo (2nd year, School of Letters) took the second place, and in the women's single sculls, KAMIO Hana (1st year, school of Agriculture) won the championship.
 
In addition to our University, Hiroshima University, Tottori University, Ehime University, Shimane University, and Yamaguchi University participated in this tournament. In the men's single sculls, the championship was fought between members of our University's rowing club.
 
In response to this results, Mr. Kiyono said, "I am happy that I was able to show the results of all my practice and win the championship for the first time. I am grateful that the tournament was successfully held and I was able to participate, and I will do my best to win the rest of this season's events as well.” Mr. Ikeda commented, "While I was able to win the race, I also felt that I was not good enough. I will do my best to become a nationally competitive athlete. Ms. Kamio commented, "I felt good to be able to row 2000 meters. I will continue to train to achieve better results in bigger competitions. Thank you very much for giving me a chance to have good experience.
