"Okayama University - Hue Graduate School Special Course" 13th and 14th class completion report meeting held

March 08, 2023

On March 3rd, our university held a completion report meeting for the 13th and 14th batch of the "Okayama University-Hue Graduate School Special Course" joint educational program with Hue University in Vietnam. Due to the epidemic of the new coronavirus infection, it has been held online for the past few years, but this time it was held face-to-face, not only for academic advisors and students, but also for foster parent companies that support students.
The three students of the 13th course transferred to the 2nd year of the Master's Course of the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Sciences in April 2021, but they had to take a one-year leave of absence due to the outbreak of a new type of coronavirus infection, so the three students of the 13th course and the seven students of the 14th course who transferred in April 2022 came to Japan almost simultaneously and have been working at the University for about a year. The purpose of this debriefing session was to present the outline of their master's thesis and to report the completion of the course to their foster parent companies that have supported them in their daily lives and spirit.
At the debriefing, the students explained to their foster families about the posters they had created and chatted about their student lives and dreams for the future. It was a good opportunity to see how happy they were to see each other after a long time and to express their gratitude to their foster companies once again.
The 10 graduates of this course are expected to utilize the knowledge and experience gained in this course in their home countries and play an active role. Okayama University plans to continue its educational contribution and exchange activities with Vietnam, which promote international exchange with the ASEAN region.
