On February 22, Consul General Xue Jian from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka, along with Consul for Economic and Commercial Section Guo Qiang and Consul for the Political Section Zhao Min, visited Okayama University and paid a courtesy call to President NASU Yasutomo.

Attending the courtesy call were also DOI Akihiro, President of the Okayama City Japan-China Friendship Association, Vice Presidents MORITA Kiyoshi and KUROZUMI Akiko, as well as KAWAGUCHI Katsumi, Director of the International Affairs Department at Okayama University. Consul General Xue Jian discussed programs for sending Japanese university students to China and prospects for Japan-China exchanges, while President Nasu addressed the current status of exchanges between Okayama University and Chinese universities, as well as opinions on future exchanges, leading to lively discussions.

This visit serves as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges between Okayama University and various universities in China. Going forward, Okayama University will continue to engage in exchanges and discussions with ambassadors, consuls general, and other diplomatic representatives from various countries and regions, leveraging these interactions to enhance the internationalization of education and research activities.
