On December 18, the student-led Google Developer Groups (GDG) on Campus Okayama University hosted the "GDG on Campus・Okayama University Info Session" at the Okayama Visionary Commons (OUX). The event was attended by 20 participants, including undergraduate and graduate students from various schools and research departments, as well as faculty and staff members. GDG on Campus Okayama University was established by a group of students, including AKRAMJONOVA DILYORAKHON AZIZBEK KIZI, a third-year student in the Discovery Program for Global Learners (GDP), to build a developer community and engage in activities that lead to innovation.

As the kickoff event, the Info Session provided an introduction to "What is GDG?", "How to participate?", and "Upcoming activities" for students at Okayama University.

The event began with a greeting from Professor NOGAMI Yasuyuki, the supervisor of the organization and a professor in the Faculty of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology (and Vice Director for DX and Information Security), who shared his expectations for the organization and its potential. Following that, GDG members introduced the structure of GDG, presented the profiles of the members, outlined future activities, held a Q&A session, and facilitated an interactive networking session with students. The event was lively, including active exchanges of ideas with the participants.

GDG on Campus Okayama University will continue to operate as a developer community and is open to recruiting members, regardless of whether they are engineers or non-engineers.
