On March 26, a delegation from Srimahasarakham Nursing College, which has a faculty-level agreement with the Graduate School of Health Sciences at Okayama University, paid a courtesy visit to President NASU Yasutomo. The delegation included Director SIRANEE Imnamkhao of Srimahasarakham Nursing College and President VICHAI Tienthavorn of the Praboromarajchanok Institute, a public higher education institution under the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand aimed at developing public health professionals.

Srimahasarakham Nursing College and the Graduate School of Health Sciences at Okayama University have maintained the agreement since March 2009, actively promoting student and faculty exchanges. President Vichai expressed his desire to further expand the existing collaboration into research exchange in the field of primary health care (PHC), building upon the strong relationship established thus far.

In response, President Nasu emphasized the strong ties Okayama University shares with Thailand, including its collaboration with the ASEAN University Network (AUN), and conveyed his intention to further strengthen the longstanding cooperation between the two universities by leveraging these networks.

This visit is expected to further deepen the academic collaboration between Okayama University and Srimahasarakham Nursing College.
