Graduate School of Health Sciences Signs International Exchange Agreement with Faculty of Nursing, Mahasarakham University, Thailand

On February 17, a signing ceremony was held at Okayama University to formalize an interdepartmental international exchange agreement between the University’s Graduate School of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Nursing at Mahasarakham University, Thailand.

The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in the fields of education and research between the two institutions. By promoting faculty and student exchanges and advancing joint research initiatives, the partnership seeks to contribute to human resource development and the advancement of academic scholarship through sustained academic exchange.

A delegation of 18 representatives from Mahasarakham University—including Professor. Anongrit Kangrang, Vice President for Policy and Planning, and Associate Prof. Dr. Jaruwan Kownaklai, Dean faculty of Nursing, as well as faculty members and students—visited Okayama University for the occasion. Representing Okayama University were Seiji Suga, Executive Director and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs; Takayoshi Suzuki, Vice President for International Affairs and Alumni Relations; Satoshi Hirohata, Dean of the Graduate School of Health Sciences; Shogo Watanabe, Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Health Sciences; Professor Takashi Oue; and Toshinori Kuwahara, Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Education (and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education).

Following the signing, participants took a commemorative photograph featuring the ASEAN-style handshake, and the ceremony concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere. A discussion session was also held, during which participants actively exchanged views on specific plans for future exchanges and the direction of cooperation. It is anticipated that this agreement will further deepen collaboration between the two universities and promote the development of globally competent professionals and academic research.
