“Okayama University Fantasy-Slow Night”

 “Okayama University Fantasy-Slow Night” the signature winter illumination event at the Tsushima Campus, was held around Peach Union from December 15 to December, 2010.

 The core organizers of the event, “Li☆Luck”, was a student group with the aim of livening up campus life. “Li☆Luck” worked under the Okayama University COE Winter Planning Committee. This was the third year for the winter illumination event. .

 The lighting ceremony was held December 15. The LED illuminations were turned on by the cue from Okayama University President Kyozo Chiba. The fantastic sight delighted the visitors.

 There were other related events. Earlier a “Welcome Day” for the local community was held around near Peach Union including tuna carving and a children’s square with activities such as Christmas wreath-making. A “Welcome Night” was then held for the first time. International students set up a food court and offered ethnic cuisine. Also, students involved with improving campus life introduced their initiatives.

The illuminations were lighted from 17:00 to 21:00.
