Holds Academic Seminar -Study in Japan- in Cambodia

On November 22, Okayama University held an “Academic Seminar -Study in Japan-” to convey the appeal of research at Japanese universities as part of the Study in Japan Global Network Project (ASEAN) commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology at the Cambodian-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC).

In this seminar, faculty members of Tokyo Institute of Technology, Kanazawa University, Chiba University and Okayama University introduced the university and its research contents. The Vice President of the Japan Alumni of Cambodia (JAC) talked about his study abroad experience in Japan. General information on study in Japan was given by TORIGOE Asami, a Study in Japan Coordinator of Okayama University Japan Educational Information Center (OJEIC), and 150 local high school and university students participated in the consultations conducted in individual booth of each university.

Following the seminar, the group paid a courtesy call to the Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Cambodia to explain the project, and exchanged views with YOU VIRAK, Deputy Director General, on future cooperation and exchanges.

We will continue to promote study in Japan in cooperation with local institutions and universities.
