Japan Alumni Meeting by Study in Japan Global Network Project in Myanmar held in Myanmar

On February 16th, Okayama University held the “Japan Alumni Meeting by Study in Japan Global Network Project in Myanmar” in Yangon, Myanmar in collaboration with the Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA) and the Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan (SixERS). The purposes of the meeting were to increase the number of international students studying in Japan and to expand and strengthen the network, as a part of the Study in Japan Global Network Project (ASEAN).

The meeting was started with greetings from KIMURA Kunio, Vice President for International Affairs of Okayama University, MAJA President Myo Khin, and OTANI Yoshio, Vice President (International Affairs) of Kanazawa University. Following this, TORIGOE Asami, Study in Japan Coordinator, introduced Okayama University Japan Education Information Center (OJEIC), and former international students gave a lecture on their activities after returning from Japan. About 30 participants including former students shared valuable times together that would lead to stronger cooperation in the future.

On February 17th, the members of SixERS visited OJEIC office and discussed future activities at a conference of the SixERS and a meeting of the Study in Japan Global Network Project (ASEAN).
