Okayama University actively supports young researchers with outstanding achievements in their research fields. In 2018, Okayama University introduced a “ Research Professor” program to foster young researchers and strengthen research capabilities. Since then, the title of “Research Professor” is awarded to nine associate professors. In 2020, the program was expanded and the “Research Associate Professor” program was newly introduced to encourage lecturers and assistant professors who achieve significant results in research outputs and funding.
On the 24th of August, eight researchers were awarded the title of “Research Associate Professor”. At the award ceremony, attended by Vice President and Executive Director for Research, NASU Yasutomo, President MAKINO Hirofumi presented honorees with their certificates and expressed his hope that new research associate professors would play a great role and become leaders in their research fields.
