As a part of the project, “Inter-University Exchange: Campus Asia,” sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, Okayama University has launched a series of joint online academic seminars with our consortium partners, Jilin University (China) and Sungkyunkwan University (Korea), and a partner university, Kyung Hee University (Korea).

The consortium and partner schools are implementing a series of joint academic webinars. Currently, mainly the Chinese and Korean partners are offering seminars under the common theme of "Opportunities and Challenges in Post Epidemic” from Nov. 11th to Nov. 27th. From December 2020, Okayama University will begin providing academic seminars on various themes related to the SDGs and Japan.

This project was realized through cooperation among our Asian top-class partner institutions and has two goals. The first seeks to mitigate the cessation of international mobility and collaboration that has resulted from travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The second focuses on establishing a new mode of higher education international exchange for the post-pandemic era that combines face-to-face and online exchange.

Okayama University’s Campus Asia Program is dedicated to cultivating human resources who will contribute to the development of quality of life and wellbeing in Asia as a whole by utilizing high-level problem-solving capabilities. Okayama University, a leading national institution committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and Earth Charter, provides various learning and research platforms in academic areas, such environmental issues, medical care, energy conservation, development of social systems, cultural symbiosis, and fostering a recycling-oriented society.

The webinars are held in English, and all students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate.
