Okayama University Ranked First Place in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions University Brand Strength Ranking

Okayama University ranked first place in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions "University Brand Image Survey 2020-21" compiled by Nikkei BP Consulting Inc. It is the first time in four years since 2016 that our university ranked first place. This year, the survey scrutinized the brand power of 59 major universities in 9 prefectures across the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. On November 25, the survey was announced that Okayama Universities was ranked top according to 14 categories such as “Cutting Edge”, “Contributes to the Community, Society, and Culture”, and “Good Location”.
Okayama University is actively committed to promoting SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), and in 2017 we were the first awardee from among national universities in Japan, receiving the Special Award at the first Japan SDGs Award presented by the Japanese government. Our aim is to establish a new paradigm for global sustainable development through education and active social contribution. As a research university, we will continue to pursue sustainability and well-being while bridging local communities to global networks through human resource development and social innovation.
