Policy for acceptance of admitted students
Okayama University is currently engaged in a mission to enrich the education received at its graduate schools. At the graduate school, students acquire and deepen their specialized knowledge of chosen disciplines in line with the educational and research goals, and philosophies of each graduate school. Simultaneously, students can take advantage of the “interdisciplinary graduate school system based on multiple undergraduate schools,” with the overall aim of developing new diverse fields of research, alongside their individual knowledge and skills.
The graduate schools at Okayama University seek and ensure a quality and consistency of the students they accept through a variety of means of assessment. These graduate students will be those individuals who possess a solid foundation in the academic knowledge required for their chosen fields, critical thinking skills, demonstrable intelligence, sensitivity and sensibility, an inquiring and challenging mind, and the desire to delve into the unknown.
