Prof. Kenji Inagaki won ''Award of the Vitamin Society of Japan''

June 17, 2016

“Characterization, Structural Analysis and Application Studies of Amino Acid Metabolism-Related Enzyme Requiring FAD, PLP and NAD”
An enzyme requiring coenzyme derived from vitamin is involved in the amino acid metabolism of various organisms widely. We determined special characteristics and crystal structure of the unique coenzyme demand-related enzyme group and conducted a functional analysis based on the structure and studied structure - function correlation of these enzymes.
Also, we developed the applied aspect to the clinical analyses of these enzymes.
