Dr. Yasutomo NASU, M.D., Ph.D., President, Okayama University

Okayama University was appointed by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (known as MEXT for short) to implement “Study in Japan Global Network Project in ASEAN” in 2019. We have placed Study in Japan Coordinators, who are active in promoting Study in Japan from ASEAN and in providing support for human resource development.

This year we hold the Study in Japan Fair 2024 for ASEAN online. In addition to information about the participating institutions, this fair will also feature a number of videos and materials. Scholarship information, Study in Japan experiences, employment opportunities after studying in Japan, to name a few. Furthermore, you can attend online consultation sessions held by each of the participating institutions. It would be my great pleasure if all the participants will get to know much more about Japan and the fair helps everyone to feel more familiar with Study in Japan.

Last but not least, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all the people in each ASEAN country and Japan who have committed in holding this wonderful Study in Japan Fair and express my wishes for the further development of friendly relations between Japan and ASEAN in the future.

Prof. Dr. Takayoshi SUZUKI, Director, SUN/SixERS
(The Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan)

We are very honored to be able to participate as co-hosts of this Study in Japan Fair 2024 for ASEAN, as in the previous year. While managing the fair together as SUN/SixERS, each of the six national universities is participating in the fair and we will thus be able to present to you very thorough and satisfactory contents.

Until now, we have held three online study abroad fairs for ASEAN. It was such a great success with a total of 3,050 participants from all over ASEAN. We are very happy to learn that some of the participants have realized their dream of studying in Japan as a result of participating in the fair.

We will be delighted if you have a very worthwhile experience through this fair and I hope that the participation in the fair will become each of ASEAN participants’ first step toward the realization of your dreams for the future.
