Okayama University International Alumni Association Taiwan Branch Members and Vice President Suzuki Hold Exchange of Views

On November 27, Vice President for International Affairs and Alumni SUZUKI Takayoshi met with members of the Okayama University International Alumni Association Taiwan Branch in Taipei, Taiwan. Six alumni, including Branch Manager Jou Shinh Jeng participated in the meeting. In a friendly atmosphere, they reminisced about their time studying at Okayama University. The discussion covered topics such as the local education situation, trends in studying in Japan, and future plans for building and strengthening networks among alumni.

Vice President Suzuki expressed his appreciation, saying, "I could see the strong unity among the members of the Taiwan branch, and I hope you will continue to support Okayama University for its international development."

This visit coincided with the opportunity for Vice President Suzuki and others to attend the 3rd Joint Symposium organized by the National Six Universities Consortium and the Taipei University League held at Taipei Medical University on November 28. Okayama University aims to strengthen the bonds with alumni, who play an essential role in promoting the university's appeal, utilizing these networks to encourage foreign students to study at Okayama University.

○Okayama University International Alumni Association:
The Okayama University International Alumni Association consists of members who were international students, foreign faculty, and staff during their time at Okayama University. The association aims to deepen the connection between alumni and their alma mater and promote student exchange and faculty interactions worldwide. As of November 2023, there are 55 branches established in 28 countries, including the Taiwan branch founded in October 2012.
