Program Results Presentation and Completion Briefing Sessions Held for the 15th Course Students of the Okayama - Hue International Master’s Program

April 08, 2024

On March 7, Okayama University held the program results presentation and completion briefing sessions for the 7 students of the 15th course students of the Okayama - Hue International Master’s Program. This program allows Vietnamese students studying environmental science and agriculture to transfer to the second year of the master's degree program in the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science at Okayama University after completing 1.5 years of education in their home country. For scholarship support, a Vietnamese student and a sponsor who agrees with the purpose of the course are connected by a one-on-one relationship. The students of this course transferred to the second year of the master's degree program in the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science at Okayama University in April 2022 and completed one year of study.

The purpose of this event was to present the summary of their master's theses as well as to report the completion of the course to the sponsors that have supported them both in their academic and personal lives. From Okayama University, Executive Director for Academic Affairs and Senior Vice President, SUGA Seiji, Vice President for Local Engagement MIMURA Satoshi, and Dean of the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Science TSURUTA Kenji, attended the event.

During the presentation, students presented the results of their research using posters and slides and expressed their gratitude directly to the sponsors for their support. Encouraging messages were conveyed from the sponsors to the students completing the course.

Okayama University will continue recruiting and engaging in exchange activities to acquire excellent students, considering the ASEAN region, including Vietnam, as a priority region for promoting international exchange.
