Prof. Masaharu Taniguchi (Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Science,Advanced Research Field) wins "The 24th MSJ Analysis Prize" on 18 September 2025.
The title is as follows.
Research on multidimensional traveling fronts and entire solutions to reaction-diffusion equations
Prof. Taniguchi has been discovered new traveling front solutions and new entire solutions to reaction-diffusion equations in two or higher dimensions. Recently he revealed the relationship between these two solutions explicitly. His study is now recognized as a remarkable achievement by The Mathematical Society of Japan.
In order to publicly honor the researchers who have attained remarkable achievements in the field of mathematical analysis or related fields, the Analysis Prize was established in 2002 by The Mathematical Society of Japan.
Prof. Taniguchi is the second winner of this prize from Okayama University.
The awards ceremony was held on 18 September 2025 during MSJ Autumn Meeting 2025 at Nagoya University.

Comment by Prof. Taniguchi:
I have been discovering new traveling front solutions and new entire solutions to reaction-diffusion equations, and recently revealed the relationship between these two solutions. The MSJ Analysis Prize is a great honor for me and will promote my study on propagation phenomena to reaction-diffusion equations.
