Okayama University Held “Okayama University Homecoming Day 2025”

November 06, 2025

On November 1, Okayama University held “Okayama University Homecoming Day 2025” with the aim of welcoming alumni and retired faculty and staff back to campus, providing an opportunity to learn about the University’s recent developments, and fostering connections and interaction with fellow alumni, current students, international students, and faculty and staff.

At the opening ceremony held at the main venue, the 50th Anniversary Memorial Hall, the event began with a performance by the Okayama University Cheerleading Association Brass Band, followed by opening remarks from President NASU Yasutomo. On behalf of the invited guests, Mr. KONAGA Keiichi, President of Okayama University Alumni (the University-wide Alumni Association), delivered congratulatory remarks. Following the ceremony, award presentations were held for the Kanemitsu Award, Kanemitsu Distinguished Service Award, and Kanemitsu Encouragement Award.

Around the main venue, booths run by alumni, current students, faculty, staff, and others connected with the University were set up alongside food trucks, and a variety of events organized by current students were held. Various faculties and departments across campus also hosted a wide range of welcoming events for visitors.
Although there were occasional periods of wind and rain during the day, many people visited the campus under generally clear autumn skies, and the venues remained filled with smiles throughout the event.

Photos capturing highlights of the day will be posted on the Homecoming Day 2025 special website in the future. Please look forward to them.
