Okayama University Matriculation Ceremony Held for Undergraduate and Graduate Students (Academic Year of 2012)

The Matriculation Ceremony of 2012 was held at Okayama City’s Momotaro Arena on April 8th, and a total of 3,503 undergraduate and graduate students began their new lives with their goals in mind.

President Kiyoshi Morita approved their enrollment while many family members watched. He delivered a speech, saying “Okayama University strives to become a ‘beautiful university city’ and serves as a base for true international research and education. We are in the midst of a great reformation. I have hopes for you to acquire deep knowledge and culture in your future to become successful globally.”

The Vice President, Deans of Graduate Schools, and Deans of Faculties were introduced, followed by a celebratory song played by the Symphony Orchestra of Okayama University. After the ceremony, the university’s cheerleading group performed a round of cheers for the new students.
