On 12th November, Dr. Tsu-Tian Lee, President of National Taipei University of Technology came to our campus and visited Dr. Kyozo Chiba, President of Okayama University. Okayama University has concluded The Exchange Agreement with this university in August last year.

The purposes of Dr. Lee’s visit were to give a lecture co-hosted by The Society of Instrument and Control Engineers, Chugoku-branch and IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society at our university as well as to promote research exchange with our Intelligent Adaptive and Learning System Laboratory, Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology.

Dr. Lee said that exchanges in the field of technology and research with Japan had been quite beneficial for Taiwan and that he was willing to promote exchanges with our faculties in Engineering and Technology further.
Dr. Chiba made a suggestion to start with short term mutual student exchanges. He also expressed his great expectations for the development of research and student exchanges through coalition and cooperation of the two universities.
