November 22, 2012

The Okayama University Research Core for Interdisciplinary Sciences, in which young researchers independently create interdisciplinary fields, held on November 20 and 21 an international symposium called the "Symposium on Interdisciplinary Researches in Okayama in the 50th Anniversary Hall, aiming to build a global network for young researchers.

They communicated the attractiveness of interdisciplinary research not limited to predefined fields, and its future potential. The hall was filled with 125 students and researchers from inside and outside Japan who listened avidly to the lectures.

A poster session was also held, introducing 43 research projects over the two days with a focus on research by the Research Core members.
