On July 1, 2015, Okayama University concluded a University-Level International Exchange Agreement with the Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam. The signing ceremony was attended by President Pham Van Thuc and four others from the Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and nine officials of Okayama University, including President Kiyoshi Morita, Prof. Masaru Araki, Executive Director and Vice President (Social Responsibility and International Affairs); and Prof. Takuo Kuboki, Dean of the Dental School. In a greeting to the guests, President Morita said, “I hope in the future we will be able to push forward with exchanges at the university level while expanding friendly relations between our two universities in the field of medicine, dentistry and pharmaceutical sciences.”

The two universities concluded a Faculty-Level Agreement between their respective dental faculties in 2010, and have conducted continuing exchanges of students, faculty and staff members. Furthermore, the two universities opened the International Dental Center in Hai Phong University Hospital in 2014.

We look forward very much to a further expansion of exchanges now that the Faculty-Level Agreement has been upgraded to an University-Level Agreement.
