A total of 20 undergraduate, Master and PhD course students, with Assoc. Prof. Xiao Fan and Assist. Prof. Zhou Dong from Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) visited the Tsushima Campus from July 17-24th, on the basis of international agreement.
And they participated in an international seminar titled as “International Student Symposium on Materials at Okayama 2016,” held with 10 Okayama University (OKU) students and the visitors.

This seminar was largely conducted by Emeritus Prof. Akiyoshi Osaka and Technical Researcher Yuri Nakamura of the Faculty of Engineering, with advices and endorsement from the advisory members Prof. Eiji Tomita, Prof. Satoshi Hayakawa, and Prof. Akira Sakakura of the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology.
The program consisted of the lectures and experiments related to biomedical materials. And they visited Faculty of Environmental Science and Technology and the Advanced Science Research Center of OKU, and had a guided tour of the R&D Center of Teijin Nakashima Medical Co., Ltd. They joined a campus tour of OKU too.
Mr. Chen Jingyu a Master course student of ZJUT who participated in the program expressed his enthusiasm by commenting, “I would like to study at Okayama University in the near future as an international student.”

OKU and ZJUT signed an agreement in 2016 to promote, strengthen, and continue international exchange on a personal and academic level.
