Certificates awarded to “All-round Achievers”

October 16, 2017

Okayama University selected 82 students from all of its departments for the “All-round Achievement Award.” They were chosen for their abilities that allow them to make suitable decisions in the society and actively participate in the globalized world.

Five students of this group who especially excelled received the “Advanced All-round Achievement Award” from President Hirofumi Makino on October 10. At the reception following the award ceremony, President Makino encouraged them, saying, “I hope for all of you, as representatives of Okayama University, to play critical roles in the world.” The students replied, “With global perspectives that we gained by internship and study-abroad experiences, each of us from different fields will try to make great contributions to the society.”

This system was established by the University to recognize all-round achievers who excel in both academics and daily practices. Awardees were selected based on their academic performance in liberal arts and their major courses, in addition to a variety of activities including overseas experiences.
