President Makino said to all the winners encouragingly, “I hope that this award will motivate you to continue working hard to make further achievements.” Mr. Keiichi Konaga, chairman of the university’s alumni association, congratulated them, saying “I think that your constant efforts helped you win this award. I’m confident and hopeful that you all will play leading roles in the university community. ”

○ Kanemitsu Awards
The Kanemitsu Awards were established with a generous donation from benefactor Mr. Tomio Kanemitsu (one of the second batch of Okayama University graduates). The awards are open to current graduate school students who have made significant achievements in their research or other relevant activities and high-achieving students who are in their senior year of undergraduate school when granted this award and who studied abroad or participated in meaningful international activities (one from each graduate school and undergraduate school).
