Study in Japan Global Network Project in ASEAN website has been renewed!

October 15, 2020

The website of "Study in Japan Global Network Project in ASEAN" by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has been renewed on October 1, 2020.

The new website has updated its design and contents, including the web page “Student Voice” posting the experiences of international students from Southeast Asia, so that it will be easier to understand the student life in Japan.

Okayama University was appointed to implement this project by MEXT in 2019. Our aim is to increase the number of international students from ASEAN 1.5 times in five years.
Okayama University was assigned to conduct the project “Coordinator for Study in Japan (Myanmar)” by MEXT in 2014 in order to double the number of students from Myanmar in five years. "Coordinator for Study in Japan (Myanmar)", was renamed the "Study in Japan Global Network Project in ASEAN” in 2018 to expand the target area to all of ASEAN.

As of July 2020, we are working to achieve our goal through three locations in ASEAN: Yangon and Mandalay, in Myanmar, and Bangkok, Thailand.
Okayama University continues to support and advise ASEAN students and teachers who wish to study in Japan with the knowledge and experience we’ve accumulated in Myanmar as well as the resources of the Consortium of Six National Universities in Japan (SixERS) and other relevant organizations.

We will continue to disseminate various information for those who wish to study in Japan.
