On May 28, Okayama University hosted the University of Ottawa “Okayama University Information Exchange Session” at the Knowledge and Innovation Building with Integrated Networks in Okayama through Vibrant Exchange (KIBINOVE). More than 35 faculty members, staff, and students from Okayama University participated in the event.
Okayama University and the University of Ottawa have maintained active collaboration in research and faculty exchange, particularly in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Taking advantage of the visit to Japan by Vice-President, Research and Innovation Julie St-Pierre, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Melissa Forgie, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Nathan Young, and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Caroline Cao, the session was organized to explore new opportunities for research and educational collaboration between the two universities.
Representing Okayama University were Dean NISHIDA Yosuke of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dean TAKAHASHI Norikazu of the School of Engineering, Dean WADA Jun of the Medical School, and Vice Director MATSUMOTO Naoko of the Research Institute for the Dynamics of Civilizations, among others.
