Anesthetic management

The experienced and knowledgeable specialists in the department of anesthesiology employ cutting-edge technology to provide patients with a pain-free experience during complicated examinations and procedures performed at the Interventional Radiology (IVR)Center. The department places a priority on patient comfort and safety through the careful monitoring of patient respiration and circulation at all times during procedures. The anesthetic procedure performed at IVR Center includes general and regional anesthesia(epidural anesthesia).

General anesthesia administered via intravenous drip infusion that renders the patient completely unconscious and unable to move. The patient feels no pain, and immobilization increases the safety of examinations and treatments. The patient awakens comfortably to find the procedure completely finished.

Regional anesthesia (epidural anesthesia)is administered via a thin tube placed on the patient’s back. While the patient remains awake, regional anesthesia numbs the section to be treated. This tube can be left in place to manage pain after treatment.

An anesthesiologist closely observes patient conditions through the examinations and procedure under anesthesia to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Pain Clinic(Pain Treatment)

The Pain Clinic provides a full range of therapies. One of these is nerve block treatment, which blocks pain pathways to the brain. Nerve blocks can provide a gentle alternative to surgery. We place a priority on the delivery of safe and effective treatment utilizing x-ray and ultrasound to closely monitor patient conditions at all times during procedures.

Nerve Blocks

Our nerve block therapies include epidurascopy(advanced medical care), facet joint block, sympathetic nerve block, intradiscal injection, and celiac plexus block to help reduce hip, neck, shoulder, arm, facial and cancer pain.
