Support Services upon Arrival


1. Dormitory


If you are to live in Kuwanoki Dormitory, Fukui Dormitory, International Student Shared House or International House: For those who start to live in April or October, please refer to "Pre-arrival Pocket Guide for International Students" and move in during the designated reception period. If you arrive outside of the designated reception period, you can move in during regular reception hours below.

*Kuwanoki Dormitory/International Student Shared House
Reception @ Kuwanoki Dormitory
Monday to Friday: 10am - 7pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 11am - 5pm

*International House/Fukui Dormitory
Monday to Friday: 9am - 6pm
Saturdays: 10am - 3pm
Sundays and Holidays: No reception

As your room key cannot be handed over to you if you arrive outside reception hours, please arrange your own accommodation in a hotel, etc.

Those who fly in from overseas:
When you book your flight, please register your arrival information by the CESR application system to let your supervisor and the International Affairs Department know your arrival date.


2. Other Support Services upon Arrival


The International Affairs Department will offer you other support services as follows after your arrival. Please come to the International Affairs Department upon your arrival. Please refer to "Pre-arrival Pocket Guide for International Students" for details.


Support services
1. Distributing a set of documets for Okayama City Hall procedures
(Registration of address, subscribe to the National Health Insurance system, etc.)

2. Scholarship procedures
(Only for persons who are due to receive an honors scholarships or JASSO Student Exchange Support Program Scholarships)

3. Openning a bank account
(Only for those who wish *In principle, for international students who are not assigned a tutor)

4. Student Help Desk
Senior students will answer your questions about how to fill out forms, procedures, and much more! (Only for those who wish)

Support period
Spring 2021: April 1 - April 9 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays)
Fall Term: September 24 - about 2 weeks (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays)
