From the Head of Center for Advanced Heart Failure

The number of patients with heart failure is increasing. In the treatment of severe heart failure, the number of patients receiving mechanical circulatory support using an Impella or left ventricular assist device is increasing. The number of patients treated with catheterization for severe valvular heart disease and disease-specific pharmacotherapy for refractory cardiomyopathy is also increasing as treatment for the cause of heart failure. The center will continue its efforts to provide gentle and personalized treatment for critically ill patients.
