Scope of Target Diseases/Features and Description of Medical Care

Our department provides comprehensive dermatologic care, beginning with detailed visual and tactile examination to narrow down the diagnosis. When necessary for definitive diagnosis or assessment of disease severity, we perform blood tests, dermoscopy, skin ultrasound, skin biopsy, allergy testing, and genetic diagnostics. Final diagnoses and treatment strategies are reviewed and refined through departmental conferences to ensure the highest quality of care.
Treatment options include topical and oral therapies, as well as chemotherapy, phototherapy, and surgical procedures, depending on the specific condition. We actively accept patients requiring inpatient management and place great importance on collaboration with regional hospitals and clinics.

  • Techniques Provided Under National Health Insurance

Phototherapy, including PUVA therapy, narrowband UVB therapy, and excimer light therapy(available only for approved indications)

  • Techniques Conducted as Part of Clinical Research

Genetic testing for:EB virus–related lymphoproliferative disorders/Melanoma(malignant melanoma)/Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP)

Through precise diagnostics, evidence-based treatment, and strong regional collaboration, we strive to provide optimal dermatologic care for every patient.

For outpatient visits

In the outpatient clinic, attending physicians in the Department of Dermatology mainly provide treatment Monday through Friday. Preferential medical care is fundamentally given to patients who have an appointment. In the inpatient ward, attending physicians and the ward chief physician take the initiative in discussions by all staff members about the disease condition and problems of each patient. They decide the treatment policy.
