Scope of Target Diseases

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology provides the following. A full suite of exams including x-rays, MRI, CT, and ultrasound for all diseases in the oral and maxillofacial area. Brachytherapy is a highly conservative radiotherapy for oral cancers.
Every scan in the oral and maxillofacial area (except periapical radiography) is interpreted by a radiologist. Our radiologists and technologists are specialists who are experienced in the oral and maxillofacial area.

Features and Description of Medical Care

X-ray examinations: we perform intraoral and extraoral radiography such as panoramic and periapical radiography for diseases in the oral and maxillofacial area. We also conduct cephalography for orthodontic treatments.
Specialized imaging: we use MRI, cone-beam CT (dental CT), CT and ultrasonography (US) to conduct diagnoses. MRI examinations: we perform and interpret the MRI scan of the temporomandibular joint disorder (disc displacement) and other diseases (cyst, tumor, and osteomyelitis). MRI examinations require appointments in advance. Making an MRI appointment requires an order from your doctor.

For outpatient visits

We do our best to make the radiology experience as comfortable as possible for patients. We strive to make a comprehensive diagnosis from the perspective of both radiologist and diagnostician. When using radiation therapy, we aim at conservative treatment using brachytherapy for oral cancers. We are committed to treating patients with compassion.
