Scope of Target Diseases/Features and Description of Medical Care

Neuroendocrine tumors are one of the rare cancers with a low incidence rate. This makes it difficult for patients to obtain the latest information on diagnosis and treatment, and makes it hard for patients to know where specialists are located. In addition, knowledge of genetics and heredity is essential for treatment, making it difficult to build a wide-ranging medical system that includes this knowledge.
In order to solve these problems, Okayama University Hospital has established the Neuroendocrine Tumor Center to provide interdisciplinary team medical care. We provide detailed explanations to patients and provide treatment only after they have fully understood and agreed to the procedure. We provide information about the center on the hospital's website to facilitate collaboration between our hospital and local medical institutions, simplifying the flow of  consultations to our hospital. In addition, by continuing to collaborate with local doctors who have referred patients to us, we are able to provide both local and specialized medical care, so patients can receive treatment with peace of mind. If you are suffering from neuroendocrine tumors, please feel free to contact us.
