Message from the Director of the Department
Our department has specialists and certificated instructors for all subspecialities, perinatology, gynecological oncology, reproductive endocrinology, and women’s health care in obstetrics and gynecology, who make every effort for all patients. We will promote advanced academic plans in education, research and clinical science to contribute to women’s total health with care for fetuses and elderly people.

Scope of Target Diseases
Perinatal medicine: Management of complications related to pregnancy (diabetes, hypertension, maternal heart disease, kidney disease, mental health, etc.); management of complications of pregnancy (hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, placenta previa, placental abruption, multiple conception, premature rupture of membranes, cervical incompetence, etc.); prenatal diagnosis and control of fetal malformation (cardiac malformation, hydrocephalus, gastrointestinal defect, etc.).
Tumors/Oncology: Malignant tumors (cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, chorionic cancer, etc.) and benign tumors (uterine fibroid, ovarian tumor, etc.).
Reproductive endocrinology: Infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, menstrual disorders (endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, etc.), oncofertility, and gender identity disorder (GID).
Women’s health care: puberty, menopause, premenstrual syndrome (PMS/PMDD), development abnormality of female genitals, and pelvic organ prolapse (POP).
Features and Description of Medical Care
We emphasize diagnoses and treatments for the following specialties.
Perinatal medicine: Management of complication pregnancy and complications of pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis, fetal chromosomal test using maternal blood (NIPT), and genetic counseling
Tumors/Oncology: Multidisciplinary approach for gynecological malignant tumors, less-invasive surgery (laparoscopic, robotic, etc.), single-day outpatient chemotherapy
Reproductive endocrinology: Recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, function-preserving surgery, oncofertility, GID (Please refer the page of the Gender Center)
Women’s health care: Vaginoplasty, PMS/PMDD, POP
