Scope of Target Diseases

  • Rare cancers (e.g., cancers of unknown primary, sarcomas, mediastinal tumors)
  • Hematologic malignancies (e.g., malignant lymphoma, multiple myeloma)
  • Advanced solid tumors eligible for cancer genomic medicine(e.g., breast cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer treated with pharmacotherapy)
  • Various clinical trials utilizing molecular-targeted therapies and immunotherapies

Features and Description of Medical Care

Department of Medical Oncology specializes in the treatment of cancer patients, providing comprehensive cancer care centered on pharmacotherapy and immunotherapy in close collaboration with other clinical departments. We manage a wide range of malignancies—including cancers of unknown primary, rare cancers, and hematologic tumors—using state-of-the-art treatments such as chemotherapy, molecular-targeted therapy, and immune checkpoint inhibitors.

As a Core Hospital for Cancer Genomic Medicine, we actively perform comprehensive genomic profiling using cancer gene panel testing, promoting personalized precision medicine based on each patient’s unique genetic alterations. We also actively participate in clinical trials and investigational studies, including those involving novel anticancer agents, thereby contributing to the advancement of next-generation cancer care.

By carefully assessing each patient’s disease status and overall condition, we develop optimal treatment strategies grounded in both scientific evidence and clinical expertise, with the goal of improving treatment outcomes while maintaining quality of life (QOL). Through the combined efforts of clinical practice and research, we strive to explore new possibilities in cancer medicine and enhance the health and well-being of our patients.
